We can see substantial water bodies around us, but unfortunately, only 1% of whole water bodies around the world are available for human use. The rest is either salty water or the others will be frozen.
We use water for everyday use. For bathing, we were taking a shower, wash our dishes or clothes, or for cooking purposes. The demand is increasing day by day with the increasing population. With the growing demand for water and the community, the supply is constant. But someone might think that the water cycle can return the water inside the earth but not at the same place and same formate and quantity.
Water plays a vital role in the earth. We cannot think even a minute without water. For our daily use like- Industry, households, municipal parks, fire fighting, and swimming pool, all the places need a large amount of water.
However, some countries are suffering from pure water in their daily life. On the other hand, some states are westing water without any reason. Here I am trying to show you how much water does the average person consumes in the U.S. Daily.
How Much Water Do We Use Everyday?
The persons in the United States are I think lucky enough because, when they turn on the tap, they can get a sufficient amount of water. When the people of the U.S. weak up in the morning, they just turn on the tap, take a shower, brush their teeth, drink a cup of coffee, and do lots of work based on water. They use a massive range of water. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), more than 300 gallons of water use an average family of the U.S per day at home.” And at the same time, each person uses 80 to 100 gallons of water every day.
How can you understand your water use?
It is effortless to find out a single person’s water use to see the utility bill. From the bill, you can find out how much water you use. When you understand how much water you use to see the bill, then the water science calculations can also help to determine how much water you can save from household use.
How much water is used in other sectors?
Not only in our household work, but we also use water in commercial, agricultural, industrial, and electrical sectors. We don’t always see the uses of water openly. Water is used to grow our food, manufacture goods, and keep our business running properly. And so commercial and the industrial sector, we use a considerable amount of water every day.
Calculating the average person of U.S. daily water consumption is not so easy. On average, each family uses almost 300 gallons of water, and each person uses 70 to 100 gallons of water daily. Among them, 30% during their household use. But this quantity varies due to the environment. Where the landscape is more water-intensive in the drier parts of the U.S., household water use can be higher.
Household consumption also depends on the leaks from the pipe, toilets, and other areas, the hosing of the sidewalks, garages, and buildings, and dripping faucets as well.
